Traveling to Nantucket
Fly
Flying directly to Nantucket is the fastest, most convenient option. Below are the airlines that offer flights to Nantucket. Cape Air is a commuter plane that seats 9 people vs. a typical jet on Jet Blue. We have found the best way to price out flight options is through Google Flights.
Cape Air: Boston, Hyannis, New Bedford, JFK
Jet Blue: JFK, Washington National
Ferry
Both the Hy-Line and Steamship Authority ferries depart Hyannis to Nantucket hourly. The fast ferry is 1 hour and the traditional (car) ferry is roughly 2 hours. We recommend making a round trip reservations in advance. Find a comprehensive schedule for both ferries here.
Hy-line Cruises: 220 Ocean St, Hyannis, MA 02601 (508) 778-2600
Steamship Authority: 69 South St, Hyannis, MA 02601 (508) 771-4000
Bus/Car
If you are flying into Boston and opting to take the Ferry to Nantucket, there are buses, Ubers, and car services available from Boston Logan Airport. If you are traveling in a group, a personal car or Uber can be a reasonable option.
Bus Options: Peter Pan Bus or Plymouth and Brockton
Personal Car: Pro Limo , Long’s Airport Taxi, or Kon Limousine Service
Accommodations
The two accommodation options on island are to rent a house or stay in one of the many hotels or B&Bs. Below are a few options, but see the following links for a comprehensive list of bed and breakfasts/inns and hotels. This is a busy weekend on Nantucket so please book early!
